🌳 BSCC Members - Annual Club Clean-up Day 🌳

Hey BSCC Family,

It's that wonderful time of the year again... our Annual Club Clean-Up Day! This is a fantastic opportunity for us to come together as a community, take care of our club, and ensure it continues to be a place we're all proud to be a part of.

📅 Mark Your Calendars!

  • Date: Saturday, April 27th

  • Start Time: 8:00 AM for instructions and job placement

🌟 What's Happening?

  • We've got a day packed with activities, primarily focusing on chainsaw work and brush removal. We need all the help we can get!

  • Bring Your Gear: Volunteers, please bring chainsaws, brush trimmers, work gloves, safety glasses, and ear muffs.

  • Roadside Clean-Up: We've also adopted the stretch of road outside our club. We're looking for about 20 youth and parents to help with this vital task.

  • Free Food: As a token of appreciation, tasty brats will be grilled and served around noon for all our hardworking volunteers.

🍴 Food and Fun After a morning of hard work, we'll enjoy delicious, free brats together. If anyone is willing to continue the good work post-lunch, there will certainly be more to do!

🔄 Can't Make It on April 27th? If you're unable to join us on Saturday, there's a possibility to contribute on Thursday, May 2nd. Please let us know so we can plan accordingly.

📧 Interested? If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute, please email jshensel51@gmail.com to coordinate work assignments and details.

Let's come together to spruce up our club and make it shine! Your involvement not only helps maintain our beautiful grounds but also strengthens our community. We're looking forward to seeing many familiar faces, as well as new ones, as we all pitch in to make our club the best it can be.

Thank you for being a part of this community effort. See you there!

Stop-The-Bleed Training Course - May 18th (Multiple Sessions Between 9 am - 12:30 pm)

We have now confirmed and planned a training course to educate members and families on proper use of tourniquets and bleeding control dressings. There will be 3 available sessions between 9 am - 12:30 pm. (More are possible depending on public interest)

The bleeding control course is aimed at providing a 60-minute course that involves a didactic and hands-on training on management of bleeding. It has been developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and helps educate everyone in the community on how to control bleeding. Students of the course are trained on how to control bleeding through use of direct pressure, tourniquet application, and hemostatic dressing application.

We will include the tourniquets, dressings, and manikins for training. A PowerPoint would be included and paper materials for reference will also be provided.

There is no charge to the students for this course. For more information regarding the importance and purpose of the course, please visit: https://www.stopthebleed.org/

If you have interest in attending this course, please fill our the inquiry form by clicking on the link below.
